“I’ve always been chubby and struggling with my weight, after my first consultation with Alvina I felt hopeful and actually excited. The more I listened and applied Alvina’s meal suggestions the more weight I lost and the more I wanted to do and the more I wanted to learn. Alvina doesn’t do excuses and if you’re not doing what is required it’s an excuse especially with meals. The training was challenging to say the least, now I know why those gym classes were a waste of time! I went from a size 20 to a size 16 in 6 weeks, unbelievable! The funny thing is that everybody’s asking me what diet I’m on, the best part of Alvina’s training and nutrition program is that there is no structured diet. “I didn’t think I’d lose as much weight as Alvina estimated in the timeframe I had before my beach holiday but after the first week I was seeing massive results already! The best part was that I lost more weight than when I was on a strict diet! Her formula works and she’ll get you to where you want to be! It’s no walk in the park though! During my first training session I thought I was going to die I still don’t know how I got through it being as unfit as I was. “I have had Alvina as a personal trainer now for 2 months. That might not seem that long overall, but the positive changes I have seen in myself in that time are both surprising and remarkable. I have lost at least a stone in weight, have muscle definition appearing that I wouldn’t have believed the likes of me could ever have, and my rest heart-rate is already appreciably lower than before. More generally though, I feel better physically and more positive in day to day life than I have for a long time I’m sure, with others commenting on how well I look.
No pain, no gain though, and we train 3 times a week in the local park. Alvina works you hard and pushes you through the pleasingly varied exercises, adding that bit extra each week to build on the achievements of the previous week. But it’s all done with a smile and a twinkle in her eye, and the sessions are very enjoyable and rewarding.

I started personal training because since a bout of glandular fever 6 months ago I never quite felt back to normal- energy levels were low, I felt my body was a bit podgy and slow and my confidence was at rock bottom!
Since starting with Alvina, it’s like I felt this well of energy inside myself that I never knew I had – I am so much more relaxed and productive in the rest of my life – at work, with friends and with my family – because I pour all that physical stress and adrenaline into concentrated effort. And I feel physically and mentally better – I am strong and effective and capable of so much more than I realised! I’ve lost inches and have visible muscle tone!
